A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

I grew up in Holland, Michigan, known for its vibrant Tulip Time Festival. My interest in graphic design began while volunteering for my high school yearbook, leading me to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication Design from Purdue University in 2006. After graduating, I started as a freelance designer at Crate and Barrel and eventually became a Senior Designer in 2011. After my first child was born in 2013, I transitioned to being a full-time mom, later working part-time as a freelance graphic designer.

With 20+ years of experience, I specialize in building brand identities and marketing materials for small businesses, focusing on creative, budget-friendly solutions. I enjoy collaborating on typography, print design, packaging, photo styling, surface patterns, and wayfinding signage, offering art direction and project management from concept to final production.

In my free time, I love walking with my husband and our three boys in God’s beautiful creation, going on road trips, playing tennis or pickleball, and caring for my house plants. I’m passionate about letterpress printing and have participated in workshops at the Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Recently, I purchased a Vandercook No. 1 tabletop proof press, allowing me to explore my creativity with wood type at home.
